Welcome to Athes. We are glad to have
you as part of our community of athletes, coaches,
and parents. Please read this Privacy Policy
carefully before using our app. It describes the
collection and processing of information collected
on the app. By using the app, you agree to the
Privacy Policy’s terms.
Please keep in mind that this Privacy Policy applies
to Athes and our app (collectively, “Athes”) only.
It does not apply to any third-party websites, apps,
or platforms that you may have used to find,
download, or access Athes. It also does not apply to
any websites or apps linked to from Athes. Please
see Section 10 below for more information.

1. Types of Information We Collect
We collect two types of information. The first type
is information that identifies an individual (called
“personal information”). The second type is
information that does not identify, and cannot
reasonably be used to identify, an individual
(called “anonymous information”). We collect the
following particular personal and anonymous
information during your use of the app:

Registration information when you create an
account with us, such as your name, gender, date
of birth, email address, username, and password.
We may also collect information about your
parent(s) or guardian(s) if you are under the age
of 13.

Profile information that you share with us after
you create an account and begin using Athes. This
information may include your picture, school,
sports teams, and personal interests.

Team information that you share with us, such as
the names and contact information of coaches,
athletes, and parents.

Information you voluntarily share on our app, such
as information you post for other Athes users.

Information sent between users or a group of users
(such as a team) using our app.

Information we obtain from a third party, such as
a site or platform provider, about use of our app
on third-party platforms or devices.

Location information, including location
information provided by a mobile or other device
interacting with our app (including through beacon
technologies), or associated with your IP address
or other online or device identifier.

Activity information about your use, and the use
by any person(s) you authorize through your
account, of our app, such as the content you view
or post, how often you use our app, and your
preferences.

Usage, viewing, technical, and device data when
you use our app.
2. How We Collect Your Information

We collect information you provide to us when you
use the app, communicate with us, register with us
(including when you link your profile on a
third-party site or platform with your
registration account), communicate with other app
users (such as by making posts on the app), or
other activities on our app.

We collect information about you from other app
users, such as coaches or teammates.

We collect information in-app, and the information
is stored in a secure cloud via REST API.
-
We collect information using analytics tools,
including when you visit our app or use our app on
third-party sites or platforms.

For certain users, we may collect information from
a parent or guardian such as consent to your use
of the app, utilizing a parental control feature,
or requesting access to the information we have
collected about you.
3. How We Use Your Information
Consistent with applicable law and any applicable
choices and controls that may be available to you or
a parent, we may use information collected from you,
or from devices associated with you, to:

Provide you with the app and the functions and
services you request, view, or engage with;

Communicate with you about your account or
transactions with us and send you information or
request feedback about features on our app or
changes to our policies;

Communicate with a parent or guardian, such as to
obtain consent or respond to a request for access
or deletion;

Communicate with coaches or teammates of yours in
accordance with the app’s functions and services;

Send you offers and promotions for our products
and services or third-party products and services;
- Personalize content and experiences;

Operate, understand, optimize, develop, or improve
our app, products, services, and operations,
including by using survey research and analytics
tools;

Detect, investigate, and prevent activities that
may violate our policies, pose safety issues, or
be fraudulent or illegal.
4. Sharing Your Information
We may share anonymous information in accordance
with our practices. We will not share your personal
information with another entity except in limited
circumstances, including:

When you allow or direct us to share your personal
information with another person or company, such
as a parent, coach, teammate, or social networking
site;

Please note that once we share your personal
information with another company in the above
circumstances, the information received by the
other company is controlled by that company
and becomes subject to the other company’s
privacy practices.

When companies perform services on our behalf;
however, these companies are prohibited from using
your personal information for purposes other than
those requested by us or required by law;

When we share your personal information with third
parties in connection with the sale of our
business or other corporate event, to enforce our
Terms of Use or rules, to ensure the safety and
security of our users and third parties, to
protect our rights and property and the rights and
property of our users and third parties, to comply
with legal process, or in other cases if we
believe in good faith that disclosure is required
by law.
5. Your Choices
We provide you the ability to exercise certain
controls and choices regarding our collection, use,
and sharing of your information. In accordance with
applicable law, your controls and choices may
include:

Correcting, updating, and deleting your account;

Choosing or changing your choices for
notifications or connecting with or following
other users;

Choosing whether to receive from us offers and
promotions for our products and services, or
products and services that we think may be of
interest to you.
6. Data Security and Retention
The security of your information is important to us.
We have implemented commercially reasonable security
measures that are designed to protect your
information from unauthorized access, disclosure,
use, and modification. We regularly review our
security procedures to consider appropriate new
technology and methods. Please be aware that,
despite our efforts, no measures are perfect or 100%
secure.
Athes will retain your personal information for as
long as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in
this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use unless a
longer retention period is required or permitted by
law. When your personal information is no longer
required by Athes, we will delete your personal
information.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
From time to time, we may change this Privacy Policy
to accommodate new technologies, industry practices,
regulatory requirements, or for other purposes. We
will provide notice to you if these changes are
material and, where required by applicable law, we
will obtain your consent. Notice may be by email to
you at the last email address you provided us, by
posting notice of such changes on our app, or by
other means, consistent with applicable law. Your
continued use of Athes following such notice
constitutes your acceptance of such changes. If you
do not accept such changes, we ask that you
deactivate your account.
8. Children’s Privacy
We provide additional privacy protections with
respect to children. For purposes of this Privacy
Policy, “children” refers to individual users under
13 years of age. When we collect personal
information from children, we take additional steps
to protect their privacy, including:

Notifying parents about our information practices
with regard to children;

In accordance with applicable law, obtaining
consent from parents for the collection of
personal information from their children;

Limiting our collection of personal information
from children to no more than is reasonably
necessary to use our app and its functions;

Giving parents access or the ability to request
access to personal information we have collected
from their children and the ability to request
that the personal information be changed or
deleted.

9. Third Party Sites
Athes may include or offer links to certain external
resources, including websites, apps, or platforms
unaffiliated with or not controlled by Athes
(“External Sites”). The Privacy Policy does not
apply to External Sites and we are not responsible
for the privacy policies or practices of External
Sites or your use of the External Sites. Please read
the policies and practices of External Sites before
accessing or using them.
